A TRIP TO LONGLEAT AS A VIP GUEST
I uploaded some of my photos that I had taken at the Wildlife Foundation in Kent onto the website of a photographic magazine, and within half an hour I was contacted and asked " would you like a VIP day at Longleat with a famous Safari photographer?"
Well as you can all
guess.it took me all of a second to 'fire back' a reply, Yes, Yes and even Yes Please!
so the story
starts, I was to have a VIP day with the very well known photographer John Wright
( from www.photographersonsafari.com ) showing me special techniques on and how to use my camera with big cats running around, and I am amazed at what John has taught me and I assure you I now take advantage of all I was shown...Thank you John. I was so impressed with how John goes about teaching/showing you your own camera that I am doing one of John's Safari days on the 28th of this month taking photos of rare Leopards at Santago Zoo that is unfortunately closing.
The whole day was just unbelievable I was so impressed with the Longleat team, and Ian who drove the jeep was able to get me to places in the Big Cats fields no other person would usually venture to, also his knowledge on the animals surpassed any I could ever know in years of trying, then there was Steve who arranged all this with Liz from the magazine (Photography Monthly September) he kept his eye on us from another vehicular, also taking the odd photo of us in the main jeep. We ended a truly amazing day on the lake which Bill took us around on his boat usually seating for 100 people.. but for me there was just the 5 of
us seeing Nico the Silver backed Gorilla, Sea lions and Hippo's, I now hope that you enjoy the photos from this very special day of mine, I hope that I have managed to include at least one of every animal I saw there...and extra ones of the BIG CATS. I was so snap happy....over
2000 shots in a day!
Thank you to everyone involved in making it a very special day in my life...One I will never forget!
